Eve and the Fraternities

(60” x 60” acrylic, polymer and printed paper painting on canvas)

This painting references Masaccio’s 1427 AD fresco of “the Expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden. Eve’s tortured face expresses the horror faced by too many women their introductions to American fraternities. The repetitive, laser printed list of that years active societies calls on them to make and maintain needed cultural changes.
